Founder’s Message

A Message from Craig Rock, the Founder of North Star Treatment Group !

craig northstar Founder’s Message – On April 16, 1999, I drank alcohol for the last time. Until that point, I’d had a tumultuous relationship with the party lifestyle. Years of drinking and drugging had begun to systemically dismantle my life, until a near death experience finally woke me to reality. When my desire to live became more important than my desire to drink, I was finally able to get sober. At that point, I began to live life with a new purpose. My journey in sobriety has been an extraordinary experience. That journey continues today with your interest in North Star Treatment Group ! In the spring of 2004, I began working as a chemical dependency counselor. Since that time, I have dedicated my life to helping other people reconnect with their authentic selves. In the fall of 2010, a group of extraordinary people converged in my life at just the right time. They were convinced of my ability to own and operate an outpatient treatment clinic. Beyond their expression of belief in my abilities, they were willing to support me with their time, talents, and financial backing. Although skeptical in the beginning, I slowly replaced my doubts and fears with a commitment to hard work. In June 2011, North Star Treatment Group became a reality. Those visionaries who believed and encouraged me were absolutely right. I want you to know that every single morning we start the day with a singleness of purpose—to provide excellent care for anybody seeking our services ! Because we have to make decisions within a framework of ethical responsibilities and judiciary mandates, we’re not always going to make everybody happy 100 percent of the time. However, I promise you this: we work very hard at making your time with us a life-affirming experience. You may be coming to us for something as simple as a drug and alcohol evaluation or a one-day education class. On the other hand, you may need a two-year intensive outpatient treatment for the deferred prosecution program. Whatever the case may be, we hope that you will feel benefited by your journey with us. I look forward to making this great journey together with you.
